Con and Stamina

Postby Sevenless » Tue Mar 29, 2011 3:07 pm

Ok, so I look up in the wiki and it states that Con slows the stam drain of swimming, but doesn't refer to anything else that I can see other than max hit points.

And yet, when I'm wooden plowing, at 30 con I can go miles further than when I hate 10 con. At least... it seems this way to me.

How does constitution actually affect stamina?

More const = more hidden stamina value, more you can do.

I want a someone to confirm this. Because I've heard that con doesn't effect stamina or stamina drain in anything except swimming.

Please elaborate? Does strength affect the stamina drain of things like plowing and running?

nope. only swimming, unless there was a secret change, which i highly doubt, as they said something about it being severely unbalancing if con affected stamina for other things.

While it would be nice to have, it's simply not possible to implement without the game becoming horribly imbalanced like sab said.

Newbie farmers would never stand a chance at outrunning their more experienced attackers.

There's more to it than that. If it took more to drain your stamina, end game players would be forced to mine for stam drain. That would make stat gain horrendous if you had 100+ con.

Thats sounds like a halarious way to balance the game. Noobs can't out run their attacks but the more con you have the harder it is to get hungry.

Well correct me if I'm wrong, but don't some tools like stone axes take up less stamina at higher qualities? This maybe be the reason why one would be able to accomplish a lot more work.
