Battering ram question.

Postby kayokay » Tue Mar 29, 2011 6:01 pm

So I got a couple of questions about battering rams:

-I saw on the wiki that they break up pretty easilly. Anyone know how much is the distance they can cross? I have an "enemy" settlement at around 100 tiles or so, and the terrain between us is grasslands. Would I be able to construct a battering ram on my claim and take it to theirs without breaking it halfway through?
-Also, I dont know if this is an exploit or something, but am all alone and due to my sliders being full civ, I only have 11 str. Would it make things easier to create a couple of alts to ram the palissade with me? Or do all of them need a str of 20ish? And is multiclienting to ram a palissade concidered a cheat?

No, it won't make 100 tiles im pretty sure that it will broke before that.
Stone the road where you are going to push your ram at.
I don't take using multiclients to use the ram as a "cheat" so choose for yourself.

To my knowledge using multiple clients at once for something like this wouldn't be see as an exploit. A note is Boar Tusk Snuff is a good way to boost your STR up and if you have enough then you could give it to all your multies to great a quick ram army. Wine is also a good quick buff (note it and snuff won't stack).

They travel ~15 tiles on non-paved tiles and 25 on paved tiles. It will break roughly 4 times between your claim and your enemies if you can moved in a straight line for 100 tiles.

Multiple clients and multiple characters is not a bug or an exploit. Go right ahead and run 3 newbie alts to assist you. Two characters with 10 str and a ram can break a palisade.
