Question about what is best to work on

I was wondering if I plan on eventually doing ranging, should I start buying rage, trespassing, and the other skills or should I work on getting my melee or UA up.

You get a little bit for your sword. Some more than others. UA still wins due to its sheer speed in combat.

Definitely. Opponents rarely stay in ranged combat for long =)

I'm not sure what you mean. You should really be buying all of your combat skills and familiarizing yourself with them if you want to stand any chance in combat.

So why unarmed for combat, I see all the people that are killing/PvPing have more or less swords and melee combat?

Unarmed raises "weight" of most of attacks, as well as moves.
