quick question about palisades...

Postby Sitting_Bill » Thu Mar 31, 2011 1:52 pm

Hi guys

I've built the initial cornerpost, if I now extend 1 square of wall from it, then seal it, I'll be able to keep building the wall right? it doesnt stop wall from being built anywhere connecting to that cornerpost, just from being built directly from that cornerpost?

Also, can I build a gate with 1 sealed cornerpost and 1 sealed cornerpost?

I've had problems building gates in the past on roundpole fences, and they weren't to do with holding shift while building, it was definitely 2 squares, etc... so I'm wondering if everyone has consistently been able to build gates with palisades? If there is a chance it won't work, then I dont want to seal my initial cornerpost until I get all the way round...

Cheers!

You are correct on both of the first two accounts. You can continue to extend and you can build a gate with 1 sealed cornerpost.

You will always be able to build a gate, just tile the 2 squares infront of and behind the gate. Roundpoles can't build a gate if the area infront of or behind them is plowed.

You can't build gates from sealed cornerposts. You can build gates to sealed cornerposts.

Important distinction there.
