Unarmed in Taming

Postby Kram » Thu Mar 31, 2011 9:16 pm

I'm looking to tame a few auroch soon and I just need a few conformations.

1: UA is calculated by your UA and the enemy UA to get the amount of defense drained each turn correct? Meaning if I had 50 UA and the auroch had 50 UA it should do roughly 50% of my health bar correct? (This is excluding any modifiers)

2: How much UA does the common auroch have?

3: Do auroch use any modifying attacks similar to "knock it's teeth out"?

Thank you in advance.

Part of this depends whether or not you need to stand toe to toe with an auroch for very long. If you can find a lake area with a grassland, go back repeatedly. The shallow water that extends out lets you use thunder and sidestep without having to suffer much in the way of a beating.

As for how much UA you need to do a cow head on without shallow water? I'd estimate 100 or so. I was having a lot of problems with a cow at 50 UA. Supposedly there's some gate trick you can use that helps with no shallow water around.

I know it's not a direct answer to the question, but I thought it was helpful about the topic.

Thank you, the amount of UA was rather helpful as I have only about 55-60 so at least I know where I would stand against one. :)

fence them in, read one of the taming guides.

well, 1 stomp from an auroch at 40 unarmed completely depleted my defence bar but i took no damage
