Finery Forge Q related.

The information there says that Finery Forges act only as a softcap. First of all, I dont really know the quality formula of the Finery Forge (I used q50 bricks and q35 Cast Iron).

Those q35 cast iron were from a couple of times I used q50 charcoal to bring up the quality (for tools and also for the finery).
Now, what I understood from that post is that it acts only as a softcap, but, dropping q32 bars with q40 charcoal on the finery forge, ends up giving me q36 bloom. Which turns into q35 Cast/Wrought (I'm softcapping with my q35 Hammer and q35 Anvil) if it's not hit by the lower/higher Q chance.

So, my question is , do someone actually knows the Q formula of Finery Forges, and the actual formula to get the bloom Q?

This is the best I can offer you in concern to the formula for building the finery forge. I know that when smithing bloom into wrought/cast you have a large random variable attached to the process but I'm not sure why your cast is turning into q36 bloom.

Thanks Teck, forgot totally about that part of the Quality page, read it a lot of times but forgot it.
Now I deduced the formula using the next logic:
Since, it's posted there that Finery Forges works the same way as Kilns and Ovens (2qMaterial+Building+Fuel)/4. I deducted that 36 = (32*2+X+40) / 4 whereas X = 40 to give the q36 bloom.
Then I used the normal formulas using 2x Weight with Iron. Therefore the formula of the Finery Forge is (2x CastIronQ + BricksQ ) / 3 (I used q35 Iron and q50 Bricks, that is my q40 Finery Forge).

Thanks a lot!

An odd note that I had in my old town. I had a finery forge Q25-30ish, iron bars Q15 ish and fuel Q28. The bloom was coming out at 19, but as soon as I hammered it into wrought it seemed to revert to being based off of the Q15 of the bars +/- the random for the quality variable. This could have been bad luck, but it seemed odd to me. I never got a single wrought above the Q of my bloom or even at the Q of my bloom. Anvil and hammer were Q34.

That is weird, maybe it was fixed or extreme bad luck. I can convert my q32 bar to a q35 one. I got 3 q36 blooms on a q35 Anvil/Hammer set and got 1 q35 Wrought 1 q35 Cast Iron and 1 q28 Cast Iron.

If the +20%Q would have it on both it would have been q38 (thinking of it as it was q32 from the original cast iron bar). Maybe the Anvil was different Q of what you thought?
