Seal your posts next time and claim the land that your walls are on and a tile or two beyond them in every direction. Build a ram to get out and failing that, ask a nearby village to allow you to join so that you can teleport out and build a palisade from the outside.

As a rule of thumb, whenever building a palisade, keep enough materials inside to build a battering ram, or have a ram itself. In the event that you get sealed in by a griefer, or you misplace the key somehow, the ram will be your only way out.

I would have if I were not quite done with them. I suppose Ill have to wait for someone passing by and ask for help since I'm still fairly new and have not established any sort of bond with another village.

Finish expanding your walls in one go. Get the materials ready (You have at least 12 hours) beforehand so you can get it done in one push. Macro-manage multiple accounts and alts if you can't get neighbors to help you but outline the path and get as much assistance as you can. Help others with theirs too so they'll help you. Develop a community with your neighbors just in case things like this happen. Your local community is a million times more likely to help you than random people on the forum are.

Most of the time, it's better to seal up and be done with it and just to build a new palisade or two when you want to expand later.
