I was wondering if anyone could tell me which colors represent what type of area in the game map
jorb's 'hi-res' map Jackard's 'lo-res' map

It would also help to know what each type of area holds what. So far, you really only are able to find a sheep (for example) by random chance, instead of looking in a specific area for that animal. That may be too much to ask at this point though, as there has been a few new area's added into the game with the new map.

Oh, and if you do know where to find sheep... Id love to know

sheep are probably on grassland

Plains. I've run into two herds on green grass plains, though they might appear on other plain types too. Same goes for cows.

This will be good once domestication is implimented.

yea i can confirm that sheep and cows appear on BOTH the new plains terrain type [pinky-wheaty terrain] and the old grassland.
