Find Fruit

Postby Hynes » Tue Apr 05, 2011 6:30 pm

I've been playing this game for about 3-4 hours aimlessly wondering around trying to find fruit and still seem to have never come across a fruit tree. How the hell do i find them ?

If you want fruit you'll need to find an Apple tree. They are found in boardleaf forests. From the wiki:

Forest terrain consists of two types, Broadleaf forest, also called Deciduous, and Conifer, also called Needleleaf. The difference in type can only be seen on the minimap or what trees are around you. Ingame tiles do not differ. Broadleaf forest tiles are a tiny bit lighter on the minmap.

Probably best to get your exploration up so you can find berries as well.

Fruit trees are relatively common on grassland, which might be easier to find than deciduous forest.

Step 1: Find out where you are on the map:

Step 2: Ask if someone in that general area has a place you can squat.

My village is welling to let homesteaders set up out side the walls, so long as they are willing to do useful things for us. But it is pointless to say "Sure! come on over here" when you don't know where you are.

Try to find something distinguishing about your location. Mountians and rivers are good. Distinctive terrian spilt by a river is also good.
