alloying crucible

I have bar of cast iron in my inventory, and the alloying crucible is fueled.
When i try to craft an metal nugget it says: you need a metal crucible to make nuggets.
wtf?

light the damn thing. and rightclick it before use and make sure your char walks up to it.
