Torch Lifespan?

What is it? Does torch quality effect the burn duration?

It's ~8 hours from what I can tell. I have no idea if quality effects it because I started using night vision before I ever made a torch.

I've got Enders, so I've got night vision, but I enjoy the lighting system in H&H so I was gonna splurge some crappy linen and branches on a well lit road. 8 hours means overnight, more or less?

Agreed, the lighting is beautiful and creates a unique ambiance in the game. While is entirely more beneficial to have night vision on for your own convenience and safety, I wish you the best and most fun with creating and lighting a road.

Caves I usually go for night vision, at least until I get a miner's helmet. But a nice road from fort to river, with torchposts and banners lining the way...

love the visuals of the game, but they hamper gameplay too much to be used other than the occasional viewing.
