Baffled.

So, I'm rather new. beyond the point

I have a small fort that I've built with a few friends, I logged back in a moment ago (previously left 4 hours ago) and suddenly there's a tiny little patch of carrots, etc.
This was not my doing and, sad to say, my friends are not great at this game.

I'm curious, was this possibly just an act of generosity from a more experienced player, or?

That is, in fact, the only possibility.

Congrats.

Thank you, input is really appreciated :D Glad there are people willing to help. I've built quite a few cabins on this land, probably unrealistic to say, but visitors are always welcome, my group tries to be humble.

Hmmm... generocity does not seem to be a great concept in this game, but it is still nice. What if the guy gives resources to the next great grievers?

And what if a child born will start the next great genocide? This does not mean we squelch all life from existence. You accept the good with the bad and are kind to those you see fit to be kind to. Some may prefer being kind to griefers even and that is entirely their right and choice.

I'm not saying that kindness it not a bad thing, but that this game can have a rude community, considering 100% of the people I met ingame that I didn't know before I played this hate me or stole from me.

I doubt a single carrot seed is really that much of a difference for a griefer. If they had been given a sledgehammer, bandit's mask, or breastplate, that would be horrid for any griefer to have. But come on, it's carrots. And a little kindness goes a long way, especially for new players who are likely to become productive members of your village if you hint at it ;)

My kingdom for a carrot... the destruction I could cause with one of these orange vegetables...
