Noob needing help

Hey everyone!

Quick question:

As far as I understand I am suppose to earning LPs every time I make something/use a skill. But I only get them when I do something new. Am suppose to be earning them every time or just when I do something new?

You are actually quite out of date. You earn discovery lp every time you discover a new object which can be used to make new things -- such as string, branches, rocks, seeds, etc. etc.. You do not get lp from using skills. Most lp you earn will be from studying curiosities that you find or make.
