Barrel o' Water - Quality

I found a quality water node while out boating, so I filled a barrel and brought it home with me. So I had a full barrel of Q 59 water. However, as I've been using it a bit -- a bucket here, a bucket there -- the water quality in the barrel has decreased to Q 57.

I noticed this mainly because I was filling 2 buckets after one another, and 1 came out Q59 and the other came out Q57. Checked the barrel, and lo and behold, the entire barrel's quality has dropped.

Is this normal?

This should only happen if you add water to it and it consolidates the difference in quality.

Odd. I'm certain I did not, as both buckets were empty. Maybe I'll grab another barrel and try to use it at the same rate, see what happens.

barrel quality does matter for things that ferment so even swill q1 grape juice can make awesome wine if put in a great barrel to ferment.

Shouldn't happen to water though. You probably inadvertantly put a .1 of quality 10 water when filling your flask sometime. I really can't think of anything else that could cause that.
