Not really interested in being able to kill anyone, simply the best way to defend myself against anyone attacking.

what skills should i get? equipment? and any basic info on combat in general would be great

leather armour is enough to protect yourself from someone trying to knock you out?

Raise your unarmed and get some armour! Decent quality leather helps, but eventually you'll want to invest in getting a bronze plate as well.

Also investing in some agility will help as wearing armour reduces it and it is used in combat now. Once you've read through that topic I would try out practicing on some ants, and eventually at a higher unarmed level, move on to foxes.

Sparring with friends or village-mates is also a good way to learn.

yeah will definetly be training before attempting it...only if necessary really.

agility is improved with what?
