No beautiful dream?

I have just started the game and after playing a bit I was hoping to build a new hearth fire. Thing is I never got a beautiful dream from the chest at the beginning of the game. I have tried making other characters and they also did not find one in the chest. Is this normal in the game now? I looked at a past thread and it has said you would get one from the chest and emphasized not dropping it (which I did not...never got one in the first place :/ )

From further reading around I read I could get one with a dream catcher which uses wood and string...is that right and can anyone tell me how you get string?

String is nettles and traproot, which you find by foraging (This means you will also need the foraging skill)

Also once you've built the dream catcher you will have to wait 20 mins for it to be possible to harvest a dream, & you need the hearth magic skill to pluck the dreams

Get foraging and 5 exploration.

Bare minimum for solo survival in the beginning, as per my opinion, is as follows;

5 exploration, 10 survival, 10 marks and 10 unarmed. Gives you enough exploration to see every taproot (string), some nettle (also string), few chantrelles (food), and all blueberries (food). Gives you enough survival to make par-quality meat from anything you catch (Likely rabbits, chickens, or fish). Enough marks to take down a boar reasonably (being somewhere around half an hour or more seeing that you're new), and enough unarmed to not be totally obliterated by ants or that boar you're hunting.
