Buff or debuff?

Postby Swietomir » Thu Apr 14, 2011 5:46 pm

I ate plenty of Rat on a sick and I lost 1 point in str and constitution but I got one in the charisma and intelligence. After a few hours of play its -3 str and constitution and +3 in charisma and intelligence. How can I stop it, and it's any way to reverse it?

You most likely moved your beliefs slider to civilization, It drops con and str and adds points to your intelligence, Which is a good thing imo if you're starting out.

What they said - and don't eat rat on a stick. It may seem like a good idea at first but it hurts you a lot.

Later in the game, some people will keep a few around just for the FEP reduction for food variety. I don't ever suggest it, though, as there's enough variety for everything but Psy, and enough of those foods have their own black FEPs.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Rat is good filler, or when you don't care about hurt. For real, I can toss on two leeches and recover from a hurt FEP. Rats are good for when you've got that one bit of FEP remaining, like you just ate a WWW sausage and have 5 FEP needed, or something. Granted, it's usually better to eat a mussel, or have a glass of wine, but when you've had THOSE and still need that bit...
