People like you should not start villages.

This is your best choice.

Be a main. Leadership roles should be occupied by main characters unless it's an alt village. Leaders need to be online doing things, not offline holding a key.

The job of the chieftain is often to rally the military and protect the village. They're also an integral part of expansion and direction for the village. An alt will very likely be weak and not online or useful. If the alt is a strong character, online, and useful then they're your main, not an alt. Your keyalt should not be online ever. Use crossroads to travel in and out of the village.

Your lawspeaker is a bastion of leadership in the village and takes care of every government task available. From recruitment to politics the lawspeaker has their hands full. Sticking the lawspeaker position on an alt means you're not only forfeiting the opportunity for +int clothing but also have a leader who is incapable of performing government jobs in a convenient and timely manner.

In the end, in the best and smartest case scenario, you're just adding a delay time to yourself by having the alts take the leadership positions. The worst case scenario you're leaving your alts on and vulnerable for no reason at all.

I feel the LS should be an alt if you're in a bigger oraganized village. Keep him safe from harm/assasinations or sudden dissapearances, since LS is the only person who is able to declaim plots and kick members from village.

For smaller villages you can always keep LS/Chief on your main.

Can you imagine you getting bad luck with a bear/boar and your LS dies and soem random village member takes LS and starts doign stupid stuff like kicking members and declaiming stuff.

Personally, I feel both LS should be on alt. LS only to a given few (Trusted) senior members of your village (Bigger villages). For smaller villages or small groups, LS on main is ok if you feel the risk is acceptable.

That'd be horrifying but what the heck is a player like that doing in the village in the first place?

Be on his main doing regular stuff. He'll (or they) will still be the Official Lawspeaker but only log into their "LS Char" when the need arise , this reduces the risk of anything happenign to the LS char if they die. Since 1 person cant be onlien 24/7. If the need arise anotehr senior member of the village can log in and perform LS task for the village.

I remember there was a tiem juhubert was busy irl with work and stuff, we were unable to declaim a few plot / kick members from the village.
