Palisade Building help

I've searched the entire forum and I can't find an answer.

I cannot build a palisade, there is no option to build it next to the option to build roundpole fence.

Here's what I did:
-I obtained yeomanry
-I made ropes
-I stole some leather
-I stole some bone glue
-I obtained a ton of wood blocks that are filling my cupboards. I've probably got around 200 blocks or so. but that's not the point.

Do I need to actually make the leather and bone glue myself first?
Or is it some glitch?
PLz help!

Aww... I'll just have to steal that guys cauldron and make some tanning tubs.

He can't build a palisade... I wouldn't put too much faith in his combative skills.
