I got hit and KO'd by a Boar, fair enough, but I was left after the HHP damage 5/5/100, So I went to the swamp to get leeches to fix me like someone suggested me to, but I was then attached to by a leech that insta killed me, well I was KO but was then left with 2/2/100, as soon as I was awake again, I was then fucked again by a leech for death.

I lost 6 hours of work, may not seem much but if you're just starting that is a serious blow to most newbies, But I am not giving up.

Leeches hit for 3HP damage, so if you're using them and you've got less than 9HHP then you've got to pay attention and only use 1 at a time and take it off after every hit to regain your SHP so you don't get knocked out.

Well, yes... I was merely explaining the dangers of healing with leeches when you've got such low HP.

I had my own little hamlet, made friends with a good experienced player etc..

Well, yes... I was merely explaining the dangers of healing with leeches when you've got such low HP.

1 leech hits 3 SHP in the time it takes to regenerate 3 SHP so if you had just 1 on you it couldn't possibly killed you.

This assumes you are "full". If you are "Hungry", HP regen is slower, and if "Very Hungry", there is no HP regen.

Read the wiki. Ask that "more experienced player" for information or even bandages. If they aren't giving you the right information, find a more knowledgeable friend. Also, you could join the official IRC channel to get some quick help. (Sorry, don't have channel info, but it's around on the forums.)

As knowledge for the future, never walk around with less than full HHP. This reduces the chances of dropping so low. Also, my first week in the game, I think I died to boars, ants, and bears a couple of times before I really knew what I was doing.
