Gold deposits

This may seem like a stupid question, but what sort of spread do gold deposits have?
This is purely curiosity, I have never even seen gold in this game... just wondering... has anyone ever found it on level one? how big are nodes? what q have people had? same with silver...
Yes I did a search and yes I checked the wiki, but as we all know the wiki is not.. always.. right...
Just asking for actual experiences.. any world...

I can only tell from last word, but gold and silver couldn't be found on layer 1 then. Silver nodes were holding about 4 bars worth of metal.

We got about 15 from one node in world 4

hmm i think i got maybe 20 bars out of my silver mine, and it hadn't run out.

Was a typo, I meant 14 or 15. I think that is what we got...

The node also continued down another floor, So 40 bars maybe?

Never got a chance to prospect below that
