Getting rid of someone's hearth fire

I recentely was adding random hearth secrets, just for the fun of it, I didn't think they could get my hearth secret... Now, the people I added are at my little settlement, and I haven't bought yeomany yet, is there a way to get rid of them, if i claim theyre hearth, what happens, if I destroy there hearth, what happens, and how did they get my secret in the first place?

destroying the hearth just means they cant port to it. but you leave a sumonable scent yourself. claiming means they can still port to it and even without skills with criminal acts on they can still walk on the claim.

buy yeomanry, put your own claim on those unknown hearth fires, and destroy them.
no scents if you have them covered up with your own claim. no skills needed but only strength and stamina.

Always clear your HS in case you don't need it.

A good HS is like any good password. Also, as a precaution, if you're giving a HS to someone you don't know, you can always change it to something random and then change it back.
