1 forest terrain in the middle of a swamp

It is like this for one swamp I found. If I plant a fir tree there what will happen?

growth rate is determined by the tile it's planted on, not the surrounding tiles

And when it grows up, it will change a number of surrounding tiles into forest.

it's been a while since i tested but i don't think trees effect surrounding swamp tiles

why would you want to fuck up the swamp tiles? bluebells spawn there.

Also if I deforest the land around the swamp, will it expand the swamp?

Ok, maybe I'm wrong. I thought trees would terraform any nearby tiles. (I guess I'll have to double check.)
