Regarding remaking an idol- do statues/banners dissapear?

Postby Bodolf » Fri Apr 22, 2011 3:24 am

Title pretty much sums it up- we want to change the name of our village, but are unsure if doing so will result in us losing our banners.

When a village idol is destroyed, are all banners/statues destroyed? or is it possible to use them on a remade claim?

apologies if this has been asked and answered, I searched wiki and google, and could find no information on what happens to statues/banners when village idol is destroyed (or if they can be incorporated into a new village idol).

Thanks for prompt replies!

Was your experience in letting the authority drain to 0, or in physically destroying a weak idol? (if there's a difference, my nubness is probably showing in this question)

Either way, guess we'll find out soon enough  will post the result.

The banners will not disappear. Rather, they will remain belonging to the old village, meaning that you won't be able to claim the same ground with a new village until you've destroyed them manually.

Here's some good info that probably needs to go in the wiki somewhere.

Under village claim or under Banner?

I'm assuming the same is true for statues, as well.

So if your village gets raided and somehow the idol is destroyed, there's no way to pick up the banners for the new claim?

Despite wishful thinking, I think the answer is pretty clear.
