Force summoning and being hearthfireless

Postby killette2 » Tue Apr 26, 2011 1:21 am

I am without a hearth fire and lets say I commit trespassing and am offline. They cannot track my character and they cannot track my fire. Can they summon me because I am fireless even though it is a petty crime?

No.

Only Battery/Theft/Vandalism/Murder are summonable. Simple Assault and Trespassing are not.

Then what could they do with my scent? Nothing?

They could track you if you were online. Honestly, trespassing scents are nothing to worry about. No one would bother to track them and they disappear to quickly that they don't really pose any sort of threat at all.

If you have a hearth fire then they will track the scents to your fire, and if your hearthfire isn't protected then they will summon you. If you have NO hearthfire then they can summon you anywhere, At all.

In other words, you should always have a hearthfire.

Sometimes you accidentally get out of a boat on a village claim. It doesn't happen often but there are legit reasons for leaving some scents.

Have a hearth fire inside a house. Wall it in and keep your only keys on 2 gate alts (1 back up incase you get raided or something). That's all.

If the boats still in the water you can get back in it and go. So unless you pick it up and put it on their claim, it's fine.
