Miscallaneous Recipe Activations

Hello, I've been playing for a few days and I noticed I cannot make urns or pots. I've collected clay, I've built a kiln, I've made bricks, I've even made and fired treeplanter pots and jars. However, I simply cannot make urns or pots.

I was also wondering what it takes to activate the bow recipe. I have both archery and carpentry on this character, and have touched all of the components for a bow (string and branches), but for some reason I still cannot make a bow. However, on another character with considerably less marksman skill, I can make bows on him.

Are you sure you're looking for the urns and pots in the right place? (Build->Containers)
And what do you mean by you have touched the components? You have to discover them, i.e. you need to collect a branch and pick a string off the ground yourself.
If that still doesn't help, try relogging. It is said that it sometimes helps in such a situation.

Well yes....not to upset you, but I was able to build a stonemansion as soon as I discovered cheese (don't ask).

So if you don't get it when you're supposed to get it, you might get it from a random discovery instead =p

theres a glitch that allows you the schematics by discovering something that needs the schematics. Some cheese needs a house, so you probably got all the house schematics by discovering said cheese. Same goes for Linen, you can make it without discovering plant fibers by discovering a linen shirt by shift-clicking it from your character screen.
