Has anyone had success in terraforming land by planting trees from different terrain?

That's typically how you do it, yes.

What kind of land specifically is a different matter.

I've yet to see it happen too, having planted a good 30 trees by now and the land hasn't changed at all around them.

Somehow I've seen moor turn to heath, and grassland turn to moor.

Been watching the area around my mulberry patch. Doesn't appear to be changing the colour on the minimap. Not sure, is this concept even confirmed? Or is it only rumour?

Mulberries won't change grasslands or broad leaf forests.

you used to be able to create land bridges by planting trees right next to water

That's because mulberries are a broadleaf though. Grassland seems to operate as a type of broadleaf forest. I have them planted in coniferous forest and I'm hoping they'll change it into broadleaf so the bloody things will grow faster xD

I have actually started to do this. Not with trees though, that takes way too long for me. What I do is take all my trash seeds from genetic farming and plant grass in a giant patch, then I plow all over that and basically farm for a moor. I'm working towards heath after the moor spots increase. Gotta keep plowing though
