V claim overrules P claim?

I've got a village up and i've put my own private claim on it in an attempt to keep my own things my own but it seems that anyone can come and take things from it at will?! What the hell is up with this, is it intentional? How do I stop new members from stealing everything we own whilst we're offline? Or do I have to make them sit outside until I trust them enough... That's plain retarded?

Last I had it, P-claim overrules V-claim. If you 'party' other players however, they have full access to your p-claim (or if you give them rights through your stake of course)
