The world map

I look at the world map on the wiki and at the mini-map In game. I keep trying to locate myself on the world map but its huge. Is there a way (like coordinates obtainable in game) to find your location on the world map without searching the whole thing for hours?

Find a jungle near u, probably the easiest way to locate urself

Three other options,
a) talk to your neighbours they might know where they are,
b) pick a direction and just keep travelling until you hit the wall...gives you a base to work from,
c} check your session maps, they give a larger area which is easier to identify, mountains and jungles are rarer, (relatively speaking) therefore more easy to find in the map

I can easily find my place from the second zoom-in, because a neighbour of mine has settled a (packed!) settlement into the middle of a mudflat. Stands out big time - look for something similar. Or, match a nearby shaped mudflat/grassland/heathland/etc with one on the World Map.

Then bookmark your location once you find it.
