Forum related question actually

Postby Sevenless » Sat May 07, 2011 2:43 am

What's the max size of picture that fits on the forum without it being cropped? Or is this based on the individual formatting of the computer? I'm going to need to make quite a few pictures in the near future and it'd be helpful if I know what the max size is pixel wise.

you mean screenshots in a post? depends on the window of the viewer. if you're planning on making large images, link them with thumbs

Not really an option for pictoral guides. I'm just going to have to make the images as small as possible then. Otherwise the flow of thought gets interrupted (I know I never bother to look at pics that don't fit properly on my window).

I'm thinking of keeping it within 600x600 for the larger images. It looks like it might fit most windows. This eyeball searing image is 600x600:

Look right to you?

Edit: I'm really regretting that image choice now. I have a giant green square overlaying everything I look at and I can barely read the writing around it XD

Looks perfectly fine to me. That'll accommodate most laptops and will appear tiny to a lot of larger resolution screens but it'll be fairly universal.

Mkay, thanks for the input. I think I'll be using that for the guide I'm working on.
