Hirdsman?

A few questions on Hirdsman:

1) Is there a limit to how many Hirdsman a village can have?

2) Is the Authority cost to summon hirdsman a per character summoned cost, or an over all cost for summoning all hirdsman?

3) do hirdsman get summoned with Lifted items still being held?

It's 50k authority to summon all your hirdsmen, even if you have none.
