Village Invite

Is there a way to invite someone to be a member of your village from a distance? I.E. if they aren't standing right in front of you?

I think you can do it if you are in a party with them. Just right click on their icon in the party list.

You must be a chief or ls of a village (1) you must be on the same layer (i.e. on surface or on 1st lvl of mines (caves) etc, both of you) (2)

You invite a future member to party, and then select under your 'goverment' menu (avilabe only to chief or ls) an icon ' Oath of allegiance'. When your cursor changes, click with it on portrait of you party member (even if there is '?' sign).
