Finding my friend

Hey guys,

Sorry really newb question prolly. I did some searches on "Friend" "Find" "Coordinates"

Nothing really came up.

So me and a friend want to work as a team, is there anyway to get him to my hearth?

http://havenmap.student.utwente.nl/ -- Is that map up to date? I saw a drawing in the fields, a few clicks from my house...so I may be able to find that landmark on the map and we can guide each other that way...But I can't find the drawing in that link's map.

Just set a hearthsecret in your kinlist and have him join using your hearthsecret at the fellow at the top left hand corner in the character creation room.

So I can conclude, that if my friend already is slightly established...AKA he left character select...That he'll have to find me the hard way?

Or he can reroll?

(I know what you're referring to in the CCreation Cave, just didn't know that was the functionality of that).

Is what you describe also possible through the mechanic of that Heart symbol on the turn dial?

The heart symbol if your kinlist, yes~
He'll have to remake but it's better than trying to find eachother. With proper maps and boats, it can take hours to transverse areas to meet other people. Without them, you will likely never see your friend.

Not following this fully. But from your answer...It looks like he has to do Hearth Secret from CCreation...then he'll be able to utilize the Heart Symbol Functionality.

Ah, I apologize if I was being unclear.
Your kinlist, opened with the heart symbol, has two functions. It acts as a way to stay in contact with friends, acquaintances, and enemies (mostly for identifying them, really.) In addition to that, you can set your hearthsecret there. Your secret allows other people to kin you, adding you as their friend. In character creation, it has a dual purpose of allowing someone else to spawn off of your hearthfire, thus starting next to you.
