World 5?

Postby Tereth » Mon May 16, 2011 6:57 pm

Hey, I had to take a hiatus from this game at the beginning of world 4. How long has there been a world 5?
Could someone refer me to a thread with all the changes from world 4 to 5?
I'm interested if the farming cap and animal kills were fixed in particular.

Thanks alot!

Farming bug was fixed, animals still murder you. Also, no more getting LP for actions, now you do it with items (curiosities).

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate the responses.

Would you say that this system is better than World 3?

Does this mean that lp is capped then?
Or are there limitless curiosities?

Something that's not quite pointed out. You can only study one of a curiosity type at a time, but you can continue to restudy curios as many times as you want. The curiosity gets used up though, so you need to make more.

Average LP gains of an established town tends to rank in the 150-300k LP per day at this point in time I'd estimate. This system is easier for more casual players if their village is willing to feed them. I've got farmers with 200UA because they have nothing else to put LP into XD

But be warned, the people who stayed with the game tend to be the ones who like this system. The ones who didn't like it mostly left. It's a much slower start than previous LP systems, but it gets rolling pretty quickly. Just make sure to fish and pump your INT early on, it really pays off.

Yes, the amount of LP you can gain per day is capped, pretty much.
However, you can still push the quality of craftable curios and find better soil spots for the forageable ones.

While it is capped, most people don't reach that cap. The quality of your curiosities determines part of the cap, and the cost determines the other. Someone running Hitler Flower/Flotsam/Pearl/Porcelain doll on top of the cheaper and more reliable crafted ones like abacus/steed/bowl will reach a MUCH higher LP gain. It's just incredibly expensive to feed someone that.

I see. I like the idea so far. It means no more macroing. But then again, no more hunting :(
