tracking theft

Postby Jiskra » Wed May 18, 2011 4:12 pm

my bf asked me to see if I could see any trespassing/theft scents on his little hermit property last night, I picked up ranging few weeks ago and haven't used it yet. I tracked the scents to a bigger settlement. Just want to know if I did it right before it's war time (for a bucket of honey). I tracked it from all the sides of their palisade just to make sure it really points at that place. And I chose both track the hearth and stolen goods. For some reason it wouldnt let me track the person though, I'd click it and I'd get nothing. Does that mean he/she is offline?
here is a screenshot, I tried to post it directly to the message but it would cut off the right side of the picture.

Ya, that means you've done it right. It'll tell you they're offline if they're offline and it'll refuse to point you in a direction.

thanks Teck

and no Alex, I did not lol, that is their raft, I got there by boat, parked it on the other side.

My other question is how much time would it take to destroy palisade that is red? I only have like 100 strength though. I still can't figure out what they stole. :(

You'd need a ram to break it, Remember rams take 24 hrs to dry.

You can break by hand but you'll probably need like 350 str or so :P

484 with a sledgehammer. 576 with a pick axe.

If their palisade is decaying you can camp it until it breaks, though with all those theft and murder scents it looks like they were already raided.
