Question about plants

Do forageable plants only appear at certain times of day? Because sometimes I've been in the mountains and seen loads of frog's crowns/several Eidelweiss, and other times I see nothing at all. Same goes for fungi (bloated bolete/royal toadstool).

They either spawn there or they don't.

The only thing affected by time of the day is dewy lady's mantle iirc.

Could have been picked or you were unlucky.

Edit: related, more difficult question: if I log out somewhere, having foraged it pretty thoroughly, how long (approximately) will it take to "reset" and there to be new plants and stuff? Assuming noone else is in the area of course...

Word is approximately 15-20 minutes. I'm not sure if this is player tested or word from Loftar.

It's ~15 minutes on an uninhabited map. If you log out but there are still other players in the vicinity (and the map is not unloaded), then no new foragables will spawn.

It's not just logging out with nobody on the minimap, but nobody else enters the minimap, either. If someone enters, even just briefly, the timer resets.
