How can I find my general location on the map?

Well, I guess the title just resumes everything :) I just cannot find where I am even if there's an invisible wall west from my acampment (which I guess is the map margin).
Is there any simple way to solve my dilemma?

find a funny shaped mountain or mudflat or something near you and try to find it on the map... also the invisible wall helps, means you can search that edge of the worldmap :3
loftar: New hair styles? Really? Seeing how Jorb never gets off his lazy ass to draw some, I almost want to add them to the game proper.
