Question about wall decay.

Postby Killawatt » Mon May 30, 2011 5:11 pm

I know that when a battering ram hits the wall, it does massive damage to other wall segments and might knock down a lot surrounding.

However, if a decay hit destroys a wall segment, will that mean the surrounding segments will be destroyed as well?

Yes.

Indeed it does, my friend got trapped within a pallisade (griefed) and when the wall finally decayed, half the north section of the wall fell down (like 15 walls sections)

Makes sense, an abandoned palisade on the lake across from me has this huge hole in it, and I was wondering if it was palibashers (which would mean I am fucked), or decay.

Thanks

It's random, so it's hard to say. I've not read anywhere about how many decay hits any wall takes.

Sure, you can build a battering ram and tear the wall down.

At least a month on fresh unclaimed palisade.

Decay only hits when the map is loaded, so if the wall is unclaimed and in a high traffic area, the chance of decay is higher than if no one visits it.

So there's no way I can loot this unclaimed, walled, cave before i have enough strength to operate the battering ram :(

Maybe I'll be better off digging a minehole and getting to the other side from beneath the palisade..
