Claim&fence

If I claim a cave, and build a wooden fence around the entrance on the claim (with gates), which scents will the perp leave if he used criminal acts and opened the wooden gates?

Ok thanks. I guess if I just signpost it (no gates ofc) they'll have to leave theft/vandalism scents right?

If signposts would have one branch "built in", then it'd take vandalism.

What if they didn't have it built in, would stealing from an unbuilt signpost leave theft scents?

Just ditch the gate. It takes 5 sec to destroy a fence section and then rebuild it.
