metalworking issue

okay so i have long since purchased metalworking. however under my craft menu i see no menu for metalworking. is there something i must do to unlock this? pull a bar from a smelter maybe? just wanted to check, thanks!

Yes, I'm pretty sure you have to discover a metal bar first (taking it from the smelter). Discovering different metal bars will also unlock new recipes. After disovering metalworking for the first time you can just melt down stored bars to nuggets and then back into bars to unlock the different metals (without quality loss). In fact, melting bars down to nuggets will often unlock additional recipes.
I'm still ashamed and embarrassed about my last post. There are many small reasons but no real excuse for what I said in the end. All that remains is regret because I won't be able to make up for it again.
