question about cocoons

If they are moved at all, does their timer reset for when they hatch? Or is it a set timer for when they become moths.

With the exception of chicken eggs, any time you move an item that has a timer, the timer resets to zero.

I have personally found out it Is a Static timer that does not reset upon moving. So moment they cocoon the timer starts

You're correct. My answer was a bit misleading by trying to be too simple. Once the eggs hatch, then the timers are static for both worms and cocoons. However, there is no countdown timer like with the eggs hatching and other things that show the radial progress meter (or percentages if you're using Enders).
