me and friend made village and settement. he made minehole at place without ores. he wanted to use for someting else. but we cant mine in it. why???

my friend has more than 100 str with a q 18 pickaxe. and it doesnt say its too hard. nothing happens when we try to mine the walls.

I suppose u dropped a minehole in a place that actually isnt mineable. Theres some tiles like that in certain parts of the world, never heard of someone actually droppping a minehole on those tiles tho =p.

so we can never mine? thats bullshit =/ we worked so hard for it. so now i can never mine?

The only places that you can't mine (that I'm aware of) are tiles within about a radius of 50 from a cave entrance. IF there is a cave entrance that close, why would you bother with a mine hole?

the 101x101 tile area around a cave entrance is not minable.
