i have just started and i am a total noob i have foraging and fishing skills but i cant find food anywhere my character is hungry and i have read other answers and tried the ideas but cant find any food

The link answers the question perfectly validly. You have no point what so ever Slayer555 and the wiki is an ever valuable resource which all players with questions can utilize.

You need to buy a few more levels of Exploration. Now that you've bought Foraging, the plants are there, all around (unless someone else has come along and picked them first) but until you've got about level 4 Exploration you won't be able to see much; make it a priority to get to level 10 exploration before buying too many other skills or levels (the exception is if you stumble across an abandoned farm, when buying Plant Lore and Farming become a really good idea).

Some of this information is in the wiki, but it's tucked away at the end of a paragraph part way down the page.
