LP gain slow in early game..

I've so far played my character for (cumulatively) around 10 hours, with 10k total LP collected. As you can see, that's very slow LP. The thing is that I've actually got quite a large settlement now (timber house, hundreds of crops planted, etc) but the limiting factor on things is my LP (can't make a loom without basic mechanics, for example).

I need some advice. I've been making loads of curios but it still seems to be really slow (no, I'm not using crappy cat gold either).

Does that 10h include AFK-ing? If yes, you can't have much peace/change, and till you get them both to full it's gonna be a crawl.

Gaining LP is really really easy compared to before. Having said that, it was really slow in the beginning compared to the previous worlds (I started in world 3, and played a bit in world 4)...but I took that because I was still learning how curiosities and discoveries worked. I'm not a part of a huge village, but after about a couple weeks...it got really easy to get LP, easier than it was in previous worlds. I don't even play full time, either. I got a stake claim in a week of playing, very casually...where as it took many many hours of playing to get a first stake claim in world 3 and 4.

I like the new system myself, not just because it is easier. But, I don't need to play 24/7 to grind tons of learning points...I can still sort of with discoveries, but I love the new system way better.

maximize int and study more/better things. seriously all you should be eating right now are the ants you can't study and fish/blueberries

and yes, it is a bit slower. by design.
