I'm in dire need of tools...

Namely a pickaxe and a way to make a mine. And by the looks of it, it's a lot of trouble. Can someone give me some tips?

You can mine with stone axe and caves work just as well as mine shafts.

Either find a cave entrance, or get the necessary tools to find and build a minehole. after that, you can mine with a stone axe, its not as good as a pick, but it's still a way to mine.

I can't find the build mine tunnel option though. :S

thats probably because u havent discovered the items required to build one.

unless u discover the various items needed to make soemthing then you wont have that option available to you.

dont start this game thinking you can mine isntantly. learn how to play it, kill you bunnies, dry your hide, make your leather, go on to hunting bigger animals, colelct bones, make bone glue, farm, bake some stuff, feed yourself, discover the way the game works.

I'm past all that. I've killed multiple boar, and butchered them. And as far as caves, everytime I go in one, I get slapped with "Someone owns this land."

you need to discover:
leather
rope (need animal husbandry and any string, taproot will do)
hardened leather (2x any wax + 3x leather+ cauldron// you can get wax by either building beehive and farming or by looking for a candleberry in a swamp - it takes 5 candleberries to make 1 wax)
block of wood
board

It's the hardened. Well, I have some crops planted, but no wheat, so nay hay for bees. Dang.

Rather then make a new thread, can someone explain to me what the hell happened?

OK - So, I drop a boar's HP down low enough he runs, I chase him a good 2 or 3 screens, and then he runs into the magical Deer of Narnia and they heal him for 100+, thats when I freaked out. He stopped running from me and started running at me. I started running and trying to delay him by zig-zagging into obstacles. Then my stam went dry and I started crawling. So, I stopped and Stood my ground, right as he got to me, guess what he did? Nothing. He just stopped, right against me. He didn't attack. He didn't do anything defensive. I though it was bugged, so I started to run again, but once again, he did nothing when he reached me. I finally got to my boat, he stopped chasing me and just went on with his business.
