What's the point in the best hooks/lures?

One person uses a golden hook with a very high-tech lure

One person uses a bone hook with a woodfish

Everything they use is Q10

What's the difference? Is the only difference the fish that they catch?

Surprised there aren't more assholes farting in this thread....

Nobody knows EXACTLY what different objects do. However, the rate of catch and type of fish may vary. The only one thing known for certain is that the quality of the gear (along with survival skill) softcaps the fish you catch. The chance of losing part of the gear when fishing may or may not go down, also.
