Problem with heath

The clay node that I live on is near a bunch of heath and I don't like the fact that it's well... heath. Will I be able to turn it into grassland if I plant trees on it and then cut them down?

In theory planting trees on it will turn it into forest and cutting those trees down would turn it into grasslands....but i dont have much experience with that so im sure someone can give a better awnser

This is a very slow process! Faster would be to just use excess seeds to plant grass. (Adventure -> Landscaping -> Plant Grass)

Moor and Heath does not decay to Grassland if u remove all of the trees on it.

Grassland will convert to moor if you plow it often and moor to heath in the same way.

Moor will start converting every tile around it to moor if its grass, meanign a single tile of moor on a grassland will eventually, over time convert it all to moor. same thing for heath on moor.

I rem you have to plow moor or heath in order to plan grass on it.

Hope this helps.

PS: Terraforming is very long and painful, since each time a tree "grows a stage" it has a chance to change a tile around it to forest of its native type, only exception are apple and mulberry. (Unsure about Nut). You best bet to make it grass is to just plow everything and grass it.

Ok, what happens if there is one tile of heath or moor in the middle of a grassland, but I place stone around it. Will it still spread?

Nope. So your best bet is to divide the heath into small bits with pavement and grass one segment at a time. When you're finished with that you can grass the pavement dividers themselves.
