Summoning

Postby noaah » Mon Jun 20, 2011 5:26 pm

Ok, I did look this up but most of the threads weren't clear enough for mer, :(.

Anyways, Just wondering about summoning; If you find someones scent do you have to summon them from THEIR Hearth Fire only? I.E. if I commited theft on a claimed property they wouldn't be able to summon me from anywhere than from inside my village from MY Hearth Fire, is this correct?

If that's the case then I won't be nearly as scared to steal\Commit crimes as they would have to break through an entire brick wall to get to my Hearth Fire, :).

Thanks in advance for the help, :). I'm sure there are a few answers around, but I couldn't seem to find them. I'll keep looking and delete this if I find anything.

Thanks,
Rose.

Yes, you can only be summed for a summonable crime at your hearthfire. This is why hearth vaults are a pest; they contain the offenders hearth fire and cannot be rammed due to ground placement.

Oh, great! So once my Village gets our brick wall completed it would be fairly counterproductive for small villages to attempt to ram the walls to retrieve a small amount of items stolen?

Also, by any chance do you know how long it takes to break down a brick wall, unless it depends on the quality of bricks\rams\strength.

Thanks for answering, I really appreciate it :),

Yeah, thats right, but also make sure your hearth fire is inside a building, so they can't see it from outside your walls.

They can also track your character when you're online, so be careful about venturing outside when you have scents out. Although its unlikely you'll be online long enough for them to do this.

edit: tripleninja'd

edit: it takes four characters on a ram, each with ~170 strength to be able to damage a brickwall, and that will take quite a while, not sure exactly. Also the ram takes ages to dry, so you should be able to spot it.

Oh, I appreciate the tip!
And of course I don't expect to be doing anything naughty until I've acquired a plentiful amount of Unarmed Combat and fighting experience, :). But beware, if you suddenly find a dandelion planted in place of your precious metals or materials, well, you know who it was.

Thanks,
Rose.

That is really classy. I would prefer if you used a blood stern though, that would be even better.

In fact, I might steal your idea :D, so track me.

Edit: I like the idea of someone committing thefts WITHOUT having any UA, would be much more stylish. Just pump everything into stealth ;)

Nah, my ingame name is Rose, so Dandelions it shall be. I'd really appreciate it if you didn't steal my idea as I one day wish to be known for my senseless havock caused throughout small villages in the great and glorious Hearthen Realm, :).

I already have about 40 UA, think I'll get 100 and 80 stealth or so and start, :).

Thanks,
Rose.
