I have had leaches on me for 20 min an am stlii at 27/27/100 what am i doing wrong...they suck down my first number but my second stays the same (27)

you could try gauze...
also, the leeches arent a miracle cure.
they have a *chance* to heal HHP every time they suck SHP
since you cant risk getting knocked out, you might want to overstuff to heal faster and put on fresh leeches as your SHP goes up...

Its a note that if you have enough Exploration * Perception you'll see four leaf clovers which you can use to get wool to make gauze to heal.

The gauze requires a loom, requiring 20 string, doable but probably will be quite the mini-adventure for a starter.
