Pig Problem

Postby Maulkin » Sat Jun 25, 2011 10:47 pm

Hi,

I just got two little piggies from a firend, pigglets actually... seems they had not grown completely before i got them, and did not grow any further... i have now borrowed a sow to try and get them mature, but is it to late? has being without a mother stopped them from mature forever... and will any female pig do or must it be the mother?

And does the mother and pigglets need to be in the same pen, or is it proximity like the trough?

If your new sow has already given birth (and is lactating), then she can feed your two piglets. Otherwise, your only option would be to keep a barrel of milk near your piglets. It would probably be better to just start over with your new sow if the piglets have suffered quality loss.

Ever seen pig teats? they're far from small.

And on the subject... I've never heard of a pig giving birth to just one or two piglets before.

The piglets *will* grow up if there's milk for them. Otherwise they will die of starvation. You can check their health in the info page. The bars show how hungry they are. Left bar is hunger (no effect), right bar is starvation (lowers stats).
